How to Sync Contacts on Your Android

Many of Android users may have wondered how to sync contacts on our Android. I am pretty sure to tell you that it can’t be easier. You can read this article which shows you two different ways to sync and copy contacts on your Android.

Tutorial 1: Import and Sync Contacts from Outlook to Gmail

Step 1: Import csv files from Outlook. Firstly, log in your Gmail account and click “Contacts” on the left. Hit the “Import” button on the top right corner of the page. And then import the backedup *.csv files from Outlook.
Step 2: Sync Gmail data with Android phone. Click “Menu” on the desktop and tap “Setting”.

Step 3. Select “Account and Sync"
Step 4. If you haven’t logged in your Gmail account on your Android before, you can click “Add account” on the bottom of the interface.
Step 5. Click “Google” and click “Next” to move on.
Step 6. After logging in your account, Android will automatically associate with your Gmail account.
Step 7. Tick “Sync automatically” and once there are added contacts or emails in Gmail account, Android will notify you automatically and keep on syncing with Gmail data.

Tutorial 2: Sync Contacts with HTC Sync

Step 1: HTC users are allowed to sync contacts and calendars with Outlook or Outlook Express on the computer via HTC Sync.
Note: Check if you have installed the other version of HTC Sync. If you did, uninstall it and restart your Android, to make sure that the system is of well compatibility and stability.
Step 2: Download the latest version of HTC Sync on your computer.

Step 3: Install HTC Sync 2.0.33, the latest version of HTC Sync on your computer
Note: If the antivirus software is running, stop it in the task manager. After installing, the taskbar on the bottom right corner of the screen will display you a HTC Sync icon. If you haven’t synced it, the color of the icon will be grey and their will also appears a HTC Sync shortcut on the desktop.
Step 4: Connect your Android with the computer via USB cable.
Step 5: Choose the connect type “HTC Sync – Sync Contact and Calendar”. After that, click “Finish”.
Step 6: Your Android will notify you that the HTC Sync is detected now. Wait patiently for about 10 seconds. After the HTC Sync icon on the bottom right corner of the taskbar becomes green, you have successfully sync with your Android.
