Upload Photos/Videos/Files from Android to OneDrive

During a long travel around the world, tons of photos and videos jam into your Android phone, including the internal storage and SD card. They will occupy lots of space of your device, leading to slow performance of your phone. And if the phone is destroyed or lost, you will lose your precious moments. So, if you would like to relieve your phone and move files to a place where you can access them anywhere, you can upload photos/videos/files from Android to OneDrive.

OneDrive, cloud storage similar to Google Drive and Dropbox, is a terrific space for you to manage your Android files. You can upload anything from Android to OneDrive, for example, photos, videos, and Word/Excel/PPT/PDF documents. Just with a Microsoft account, you can access your uploaded files anywhere.

Part 1 Backup Photos/Videos to OneDrive on Android

Step 1 Sign in OneDrive
Install and run OneDrive on your Android phone. Then sign in your account. Make sure that your Android phone is connected to a stable Internet access.

In the homepage, tap the plus icon at the lower-right corner. Next, choose "Upload". If you would like to save files uploaded into a new folder, hit "Create folder" to generate one.

Step 2 Choose Album/Folder from Android
In this step, you can choose file types, for instance, Recent, Images, Audios, and Downloads. Then you can choose a folder or album where your wanted files are stored like "Holland" as the screenshot shows.

Step 3 Select Items to Upload
Log tap on each item you want. When they are selected, you will see the tick icon upon them. Then click "OPEN" at the upper-right corner. OneDrive will automatically upload all files you choose.

Part 2 Upload Android Media Files to OneDrive on Mac

Step 1 Associate OneDrive with Android File Manager
Run the software after installation. Click the "document" button at the top-right corner and select "OneDrive" in the pop-up window.

Enter the proper email/phone number and password to sign in your OneDrive account. If you have no OneDrive account, you can create one immediately .

Login OneDrive

When you successfully signed in, the software will ask you to allow it access all information like profile, contacts list, phone numbers, photos, documents and etc. that stored on your account. Hit the "Yes" button to confirm it.

Step 2 Upload Android Files to OneDrive
There are two panels shown in the main interface of the software. Connect your Android phone to the computer via USB cable. The device name will display at the top of the two panels when it's recognized and connected. Then, choose OneDrive in one panel and Android phone in another, all files stored in them will be listed. You can directly drag and drop the files that you want to upload from Android to OneDrive.
