How to Connect Samsung Galaxy phone to Computer

As Android is becoming more and more popular in the phone market, Samsung smartphone is one of the leading Android phones with a large amount of users. Surely, connecting your Android phone to computer for syncing and back up, is an important thing in case of losing your information on the phone. But what if you fail to connect Android to PC?
Here we will take Samsung Galaxy smartphone as example, and provide some tips for you to connect Samsung Galaxy to PC.

Method 1: Connect Device to PC in Normal Way

If you are using Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge+/S6/S5/Note 4, A9/A7/A5 running Android 4.0 or above, you just need to go the settings and switch on USB debugging. Then, connect your device to the computer so that you can check your Android phone on computer and it will be read as a disk.

If your device is running Android 2.3, the following guide should be kept for yourself.
Preparation: Before connecting to computer, uncheck "USB debugging". (You can go to "Settings" > "Applications" > "Development" > "USB debugging")

Step 1 Go to "Settings" and choose "Wireless and networks", then, click into "USB utilities".

Step 2 Tap on "Connect storage to PC" (when your phone is not connected to PC). Then, it will pop up a window telling you to connect USB cable to use mass storage. Do not click "Cancel" now.

Step 3 Connect your phone to PC with a USB cable, and press "Connect USB storage" on your phone when it reminds USB is connected.

Notes: The above operation is workable for Android 2.3 and may vary from devices running differernt Android system versions.

Method 2: Connect Galaxy to Computer via Wi-Fi

When the USB cable goes wrong accidentally, it is practical to fix connecting via Wi-Fi. Please read on to check.

Step 1 Launch Android Transfer on your commputer and the window will ask you to select "Android". After that, go to click "Connect Now".

Step 2 Move to scan QR code on the screen, and then the phone will be connected quickly. With this way, you can manage your phone data on PC without difficulty.

Method 3: Fix Samsung Failed Connection to PC

Step 1 Run the program and connect your Samsung Galaxy to the computer. When you see the below interface, hit the "Was your device not detected?" option.

- Power off the phone.
- Press and hold the volume down + Home button + Power button.
- Press the volume up to enter download mode.
