Create Animated GIF from Photo/Video on iPhone

However, sometime you may not able to get the GIF images you really need. So why not try to make it yourself? Step 1 Connect iPhone to PC
After you download and install the program, please launch it on your PC. Then connect your iPhone to your computer via the USB cable that comes together. Before it can be detected by the program, you need to go to your iPhone and tap "Trust" on the pop-up window.

Step 2 Choose Photos/Videos From iPhone
Once your iPhone is detected by the program, please click "Photo" on the upper pane. Now you can see the file data on your iPhone are displayed on the interface of the program. You can choose photos or video you want to create a GIF image.

Note: For the new versions of iPhone like iPhone 6s and iPhone 7, you may find a function of taking "Live Photos". A Live Photo captures a short video with three seconds when you press the shutter button in your iPhone 6s or 6s Plus camera app.

Just like video files, Live Photos are saved as MOV format if you have exported them to PC via TunesGo.

You can also turn Live Photos into GIF if you want to. When you choose the Live Photos and click "Convert to GIF". It would detect them as video by default as you can see the screen shot below.

Step 3 Preview GIF
After you choose the photos or video from your iPhone, you can make the settings of output size, frame rate and the location to keep the GIF. To check if this GIF is satisfying or not, you can preview it by clicking the thumbnail on the pop-up window.

Step 4 Create the Custom GIF
If the GIF image is perfect for you after you preview it, you can begin to create it on your computer by clicking “Create GIF” button.
